Buford, now 30 years old, is originally from the United States and joined Shimane after playing in leagues in six countries, including Italy and Australia. He has been with the team for four seasons since 2020, and with his overwhelming decisiveness, he has won the B.League top scorer award for two consecutive years and was also selected as one of the Best Five.
Buford posted a comment on the official website, saying, “The four seasons I spent in Shimane were wonderful. I was able to make many friends and many wonderful memories there,” and expressed his gratitude to the fans.
Buford has been placed on the free agent list, and attention will be focused on his future destination.
