On the 15th, Trump announced that he would choose Ohio Senator and former venture capitalist Vance as his running mate, and some Silicon Valley investors including Musk welcomed this.

The Wall Street Journal stated that Musk will donate to the America PAC. The PAC was established in June this year and is mainly dedicated to voter registration in swing states, persuading voters to vote for Trump as early as possible and apply for mail-in ballots. It is reported that the Democratic Party has always had a massive canvassing campaign, and the Biden camp has invested a lot of money to mobilize voters in swing states. The America PAC seeks to compete with the Democratic Party in this regard.

According to a document filed on the 15th, the US Political Action Committee received a total of $8.75 million in donations as of June 30. People familiar with the matter said that Musk plans to start donating this month and will donate about $45 million per month. Musk said in March that he had no intention of donating to Trump or Biden, but has been getting closer to Trump in recent months. After Trump was assassinated on the 13th, Musk officially expressed his support for his presidential campaign. He said on the social media platform X that Vance is an “excellent choice” for vice president and that Trump and Vance will win a “huge victory” as a team.
