Shopping on the Internet is becoming increasingly popular in Germany – across all age groups. Almost every second online shopper (48 percent) ends up adding clothes and shoes to their digital shopping cart. Films, series or music are also often ordered online (40 percent). More and more often on the shopping list on the Internet: food, drinks, drugstore products or pet food. 29 percent of 16 to 74 year olds purchased such goods online in the three months before the survey; in 2021 the figure was 22 percent.
