Mohammed Shami brilliant bowling for Bengal in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025 : The fast bowler of the Indian team, Mohammad Shami, is knocking on the doors of Team India with one brilliant performance after another. Shami, who was away from cricket for a year after last year’s ODI World Cup final, has been brilliant since his return. He continued his excellent form with a strong bowling performance against Haryana in the knockout stage of the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Thursday. He had a poor start to the match, but after that, Shami made the batsmen kneel before him.

Mohammad Shami took 3 wickets for 48 runs in 8 overs in the knockout round against Haryana. His first victim, Himanshu Rana, was caught by wicketkeeper Abhishek Porel in the sixth over. Shami conceded 40 runs in the remaining overs of his first spell at an economy rate of 6.67. He picked up his second wicket in the 42nd over when he dismissed Dinesh Bana. Shami soon sent Anshul Kamboj to the pavilion and took his third wicket of the match. In the beginning of the innings in this match, opener Arsh Ranga hit two sixes off Shami’s balls.
Mohammed Shami all set to make a comeback in Team India –
Interestingly, it is reported that the selection committee is present in the stadium to watch the knockout match. The BCCI will soon announce the squad for the limited overs series against England and the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. In such a situation, there is every hope that Shami will make a comeback to the national team after a year. He was expected to make a comeback midway through the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but he suffered problems during recovery, delaying his return to Team India.

Mohammed Shami’s Great Comeback –
Shami had to undergo surgery after injuring his ankle during the ODI World Cup in early 2024. He then began his recovery at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and made a comeback in the Ranji Trophy. He then participated in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and was then rested for the preliminary round matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. However, now he is close to getting a place in India’s Champions Trophy squad.
