JAKARTAMinistry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemlu RI) and the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) Beirut continues to closely monitor the security situation in Lebanon. Since last weekend there have been intensive air strikes between Hezbollah And Israel in the southern part of Lebanon.

As a result, several airlines have started canceling and limiting flights to and from Tel Aviv and Beirut. Including Air France, Royal Jordanian Air, Ettihad, and Lufthansa.

Director of Protection of Indonesian Citizens (WNI) and Indonesian Legal Entities (BHI) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Judha Nugraha, said that the Indonesian government continues to appeal to Indonesian citizens who have travel plans to the region, namely Lebanon and Israel, to postpone their trips for security reasons until conditions return to normal.

In addition, Indonesian citizens domiciled in Lebanon are requested to follow the directions given by the Indonesian Embassy in Beirut.

Since the increase in the Alert status in the Lebanon Region to Alert One in early August 2024, the Indonesian Government has gradually repatriated 20 Indonesian citizens (WNI) to their homeland.
