Paris – Argentina beat Iraq 3-1 in their second Olympic football match. With the win, Argentina topped Group B on goal difference. Morocco, who defeated Argentina 2-1 in the controversial first match, is in second place. The top two finishers qualify for the knockouts.

Spain beat the Dominican Republic 3–1 in Group C. Argentina took the lead in the 14th minute against Iraq in Lyon. Thiago Almada scored the goal from the assist of Yulian Alvarez. But just before the first half, captain Ayman Hussain’s header led Iraq. In the second half, the goals of Luciano Gondu and Ezequiel Fernandez made Argentina win.
