■Paris Olympics™ Athletics Men’s 200m Final (9th Japan time, Stade de France)

In the men’s 200m final, American N. Lyles (27) won the bronze medal in 19.70 seconds. Lyles had also won the gold medal in the 100m, but he was unable to achieve the double crown that would become the first since W. Bolt at the 2016 Rio Olympics. The winner was Letsile Tebogo (21) in 19.46 seconds, bringing Botswana its first gold medal.

Lyles, who won the bronze medal at the previous tournament, ended up with a bronze medal for the second consecutive tournament. In the men’s 100m final held on the 5th, he set a personal best of 9.79 seconds (+1.0) and won the gold medal, becoming the first American to reach the top of the Olympics in 20 years since J. Gatlin at the 2004 Athens Olympics. There are high expectations that he will win two titles in this tournament in the 4x100m relay.
