Mansory Gronos 6×6 is the three-axle climate change final boss

(Motorsport-Total.com/Motor1) – Mansory has taken a Mercedes-AMG G 63 and turned the high-performance off-road icon into a three-axle double-cab pick-up truck that has been extended by a total of 1.37 meters and is heavily carbonized, with 900 hp and 1,200 Nm of torque. The Gronos 6×6 can even be delivered armored if desired. God forbid.

You can see what has happened to the Mercedes-AMG visually. Rear doors hinged at the back, wider running boards, carbon add-on parts installed all around, bull bars mounted in front of the aprons, four additional LED headlights mounted on the roof and a cable winch at the front are also included.

In addition, off-road tires measuring 37×12.50×20 are mounted on rims measuring 9×20. Thanks to an integrated tire inflation system with compressor and control unit in the cockpit, the air pressure in all six tires can be adjusted to the respective terrain conditions at any time at the push of a button. Street tires are also available.

In terms of technology, Mansory has added a newly developed and massively reinforced front axle and portal transmissions on all axles. And even the third (additional) axle has a lockable differential in the longitudinal and transverse direction. A special chassis with high-performance shock absorbers complements the Gronos 6×6 suspension. All in all, the normal G-Class is not only significantly longer, but also 25 centimeters wider and 25 centimeters higher.

The drive train also had to be tweaked. The result is 900 hp and 1,200 Nm. We’ve already talked about it. In detail, a new exhaust turbocharger with an increased boost pressure of up to 3.45 bar, a new intercooler, two high-pressure fuel pumps, adapted engine, transmission and CPC software, a sports air filter and a sports exhaust system with flap control ensure the increase in series performance by 315 hp and 400 Nm.

Fuel consumption? 17.9 l/100km is stated, which seems completely unrealistic to us given the appearance. Also interesting: CO2 emissions are just under 0.5 kg per kilometer.

In order to impressively demonstrate this promised freedom of design, the tuner The first of only 10 examples, the interior is completely finished in a bright turquoise tone. It’s amazing. You can easily overlook the more than 3,000 LEDs that are housed in the roof lining. And all the carbon.
