Man stabbed to death in company dormitory, reported as “fight between foreigners” in Nagasaki

At around 5:10 p.m. on the 8th, a local fire department called 110 at a company dormitory in Nishikai-cho, Nagasaki City, saying, “There was a fight between foreigners. A man was stabbed with a knife.” According to Nagasaki Prefectural Police, the stabbed man was taken to a hospital in the city, but he was pronounced dead about an hour later.

According to Nagasaki Prefectural Police’s Togitsu Station, the man had been stabbed multiple times in the upper body with what appeared to be a kitchen knife, and officials at the dormitory called the fire department.

There are about 10 foreigners living in the dormitory, and the police are voluntarily interviewing the man who was at the scene. The two men are co-workers, and both appear to be in their 30s or 40s and of foreign nationality.
