Ontario ∙ Kyle Anthony, a young player left Kerala’s mark in volleyball in America. Actor and writer Thumpi Anthony’s son, Kyle, wore the number 9 jersey like his father. The young player who built a defensive fortress in front of the opposing team on the volleyball court was selected as the best setter and best defensive player of the competition at the Lukachen Memorial USA National Volleyball Championship.

This Malayalee player, who is the captain of California Blasters, led the team to victory by jumping into the sky quickly and smashing the smashes of the opposing team. Jumping serves and the ability of smashes show the excellence of this young player. Kyle is becoming America’s future hope in volleyball because of her powerful high-air smashes that the opposition can’t stop.

Kyle Anthony also chose the number 9 jersey worn by Thambi Anthony when he was an engineering student in Kerala. Thambi Anthony’s elder brother Joseph Anthony has played for the Kerala State Volleyball team. Actor and younger brother of Thambi Antony, Babu Antony was the captain of the Pune University volleyball team and sports team.

Brandon Kaitathara of the California Blasters won the best hitter award at the Lukachen Memorial USA National Volleyball Championship. There are two major national volleyball tournaments held each year in the US and Canada. Jimmy George Memorial Tournament and Lukachan Memorial Tournament. The NK Lucas Memorial Volleyball Tournament is held in Niagara, Canada. Philadelphia won Saturday’s tournament. Meanwhile, the runner-up California Blasters won the best player awards.

California Blasters were the champions in 2022 under Kyle’s captaincy. Other members of the team are Tommy Pazarempalli (Manager), Prince Gothra (Vice Captain), Abhilash Pazarempalli, Geoffrey John, Neil Chittat, Afzal Pirmuhamed, George Mathen, Tommy Mathen and Simon Thomas.
