Users who are looking for an alternative to Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird can take a look at the email client Mailbird. Mailbird An email client is available for the Windows desktop that supports common services such as GMX, Web.de, Gmail and Outlook.com as well as all other IMAP and POP3-capable mail services.
In Mailbird, different email accounts can be integrated and used under a common interface, which makes switching between different email clients or web services unnecessary and thus saves time. However, the program offers a range of functions that go beyond sending and receiving emails. For example, individual messages can be marked as favorites, important or spam, emails can be archived and personal filter rules can be created. When you write new messages, a pop-up window opens and email tracking can be activated – although with restrictions in the personal version. Mailbird also offers the option of integrating social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and services such as Dropbox or Evernote, which are then available in the program interface. In this way, the social media contact list can be used via Mailbird.
Mailbird is available in two different versions, a personal and a business version. While the personal version includes all standard functions, the business version is expanded to include Exchange support, a LinkedIn lookup function and priority support. The personal version currently costs €2.92 per month for an annual subscription or a one-off payment of €69. The business version, which is only available as a subscription, costs €4.08 per month.
Tip: The free and German-language email program Thunderbird from Mozilla is the perfect complement to Firefox.
