‘For the betterment of the school ‘Student’s Sacrifice’ (September 28) is the epitome of brutality, blackening humanity. This case is even more serious as school principals, principals, teachers are involved in this incident of human sacrifice. What is the religious morality or scientific sanity behind the irrational idea that an innocent child should be sacrificed for the sake of the school, to take India to ‘other glories’? How are we moving as Vishwaguru by separating education with conscience, scientific approach and ethics? When there is such a disjointed social reality, we will think about what kind of India we are going to dream of or not? Therefore, for such crimes, the demand of the conservative movements that the law should be implemented across the country, just as the ‘Maharashtra Human Sacrifice and Other Inhumane and Aghori Practices and Prevention of Witchcraft Abolition Act-2013’ was implemented in Maharashtra, is more timely.

How will children live fearlessly and worry free?
‘For the school to flourish The news of ‘victim of student’ is outrageous. Are we really living in the twenty first age of advanced technology and science or are we living in an age of rusty and backward superstition? Sacrifice children for economic prosperity? Don’t they know of many other ways for the school to thrive financially? Eg: Seeking financial subsidy from the government. Asking for financial help from a professional or sportsperson or a charity etc. Already, the crimes of sexual abuse of minor girls, abduction of children for ransom, murder are taking place in the state. The brutal and hideous act of taking the lives of so many young children in the hope of finding secret money in it… are all symptoms of ideological bankruptcy. How can children and their parents lead a fearless and worry-free life in such an environment?

‘240‘ Big blow after blow of
‘University Assembly ABVP’s ‘huge’ defeat in the elections read the news (September 28). After the ‘240’ hit, this is another big hit. Now BJP and ABVP, Res. self I don’t think there is a need to shed new light on what the union is about. ABVP’s defeat is not just defeat, but a major defeat can be an indirect displeasure with Delhishwars, their policies, working style. Before that, the statement ‘Deen Dayalji’s height is not a leader today’ is not a matter of logic at present. Here in Maharashtra, the free flow of people’s money does not seem to be very fruitful. From all this, the indications of what will happen in the Maharashtra assembly elections are getting.

Public opinion is towards progressive Hindutva…
of Mumbai University Uddhav Thackeray Shiv Sena’s Yuva Sena has established undisputed supremacy by winning ten out of ten seats in the Senate elections. The new government formed after the Shiv Sena split on the issue of Hindutva, with the help of the BJP, postponed these elections for two years for one reason or another. But BJP’s Hindutva policy in elections to Lok Sabha and teacher-graduate constituencies was more prominently disapproved in the youth-dominated Senate elections. Due to this result, it has been proved that even today the vote of the public opinion in Maharashtra is towards the progressive tolerant Hindutva.

There are laws, We want the rule of law!
‘In the absence of concrete legislation Prajakta Kadam’s assessment in Sunday Special (September 29) does not seem relevant. The observations of the Supreme Court regarding the encounter and the relevant guidelines discussed by him are part of the law of this country. Nani Palkhiwala’s famous quote that India is the most law-making country is recalled here. The real problem is not the absence of laws but the non-honest enforcement of laws. Both administration and judiciary are equally responsible for this.
Another important and more serious matter is that the program has become a habit of unwittingly handing swords into the hands of activists who were once content to merely twirl sticks. Even in a common marriage ceremony, the bridegroom’s maternal uncle used to have a sickle with a lemon wedge in it. No work is done without a sword now. Such changes do not happen easily. Now, if one does not feel wrong to see his image holding a pistol, then one can be sure that his journey is going from bad to worse.
Whether the clash is true or false, it cannot be supported by any body. A shortcut to an encounter can provide temporary emotional satisfaction. But that is likely to invite chaos. What you need is the rule of law, not more laws. The choice is very simple. Do you want the rule of law or the law of the jungle?

First look at the corruption in the party…
Crime of corruption After entering, BJP asked ‘will he stand by Siddaramaiah?’ (September 29) Rahul Gandhi has been asked this question and rightly so. But looking at the history and present of BJP regarding standing by the corrupt leaders, it will be seen that the BJP party is so naive and selfish that it will not even pay its respects to other parties. Not only has the BJP given shelter to corrupt leaders of its own party, but many leaders accused of corruption in other parties have been sanctified by the BJP by sprinkling cow urine and wearing saffron robes. BJP’s overall action regarding corruption ‘should be visible to others but keep your own hidden!’ It has remained so. By the same justice, how is Yeddyurappa, the accused in a sexual assault case and the former Chief Minister of Karnataka, coal mine corruption Shiromani Reddy brother, who has a bright head in the BJP? Following the order of a special court in Bengaluru in connection with the election blocking scheme, the Bengaluru police have recently registered a case against Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and state and national level office bearers of the BJP. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s husband Parakala Prabhakar himself has alleged that electoral fraud is the biggest financial scam in the world.
In a press conference, Rahul Gandhi tore up the ordinance of his own ‘UPA’ government that said corrupt leaders cannot contest elections. Hence, BJP still criticizes Rahul Gandhi as an ‘immature leader’ and on the other hand raises the question whether Rahul Gandhi will stand by such leaders over the Siddaramaiah plot corruption case. Isn’t this ideological bankruptcy of BJP? Recently in a meeting in Jharkhand, former Chief Minister Madhu Koda, who has many allegations of corruption, attended a meeting with Modi. Hemanta Biswa Sharma was accused of corruption by the BJP while he was in the Congress, however he is today the Chief Minister of Assam for the BJP. At the national level, countless examples can be given of the BJP, which has a generous heart towards corrupt and criminal leaders. According to the report of ‘Association of Democratic Reform’, BJP has the highest number of members with corruption and criminal background in the latest Lok Sabha. Therefore BJP party has no moral right to criticize other parties on corruption. Regarding corruption, our political system as a whole is ‘Sab Ghode Bara Percent!’ Corruption has now become a norm on the political stage.
