Lip sores, sores, sores; Symptoms and causes of lip cancer

Refer Report

Lip cancer is a type of oral cancer. It starts in the cells of the lips. It starts first in the squamous cells, which are the body tissues that look like scales on the outer layer of the skin. Early diagnosis is possible. Estimates show that 0.6 percent of Americans have lip cancer. Around 40,000 cases have been reported worldwide.

Lip cancer resembles mouth ulcers. It will not dry properly. The sores appear red in light skinned people and dark brown or gray in dark skinned people. Although the wounds will heal, lip cancer will not go away. Its infection lasts for a long time.

spread
The spread of the disease varies from person to person. In some people, this cancer spreads quickly. But in others the spread is moderately fast or very slow.

The progression of lip cancer depends on where the tumor is and at what stage treatment is started. According to a study conducted in 2017, the disease takes about 10 to 12 months to spread. But in some people, it takes just three months to develop metastasis, the spread of cancer from one organ to another.
If left untreated, lip cancer can spread to the lymph nodes, jaw, other tissues in the mouth, lungs, and other parts of the body.
