Tmax Group has hired former Korail Distribution CEO Kim Young-tae as CEO of Tmax A&C.
According to Tmax Group on the 2nd, former CEO Kim was appointed as the CEO of Tmax A&C, responsible for the advancement of Tmax’s super app platform ‘Gaia’ and market expansion strategy.
Tmax Group recently announced that it has hired General Manager Kim to proactively respond to the structural changes following the re-acquisition of TmaxSoft and to strengthen its innovation capabilities.
Tmax A&C is comprised of eight subsidiaries: Tmax Cloud, Tmax Core AI, Tmax Gaia, Tmax Metaverse, Tmax Biz AI, Tmax Edu AI, Tmax Fin AI, and Tmax Shop AI.
CEO Kim said, “We would like to join Tmax Group, a local IT company, in the process of preventing the monopoly of big tech in the global AI war and expanding its influence in overseas markets.”
A Tmax Group official said, “CEO Kim has proven management innovation and achievements in various sectors including media, corporations, government, and public institutions,” and added, “We believe he will be a great force in the group’s transformation and development of the global market.”
