◆Keisuke Watanabe comment
–How did you feel when you received the offer to star in this film?
When I heard that it was a revenge drama, I had a gruesome image of it, but when I read the script that I received, I realized that it was a story that had a core to it while also incorporating the essence of director Naho Uemura’s kindness. I felt that there was.
–What are your impressions about the role you will be playing?
He plots revenge based on past events, but on the other hand, he is very deliberate and quick-witted, but on the other hand, I think he is a person who has a child-like naivety and innocence because he lived without knowing love during his adolescence. I am.
–What is your impression of Miori Takimoto, who will be co-starring with you for the first time?
He is always cheerful and playful. Mr. Takimoto is on site without any decorations, so I feel like all the staff members, including myself, work in a cheerful mood on days when Mr. Takimoto is here.
–Please give a message to the viewers about the highlights etc.
Although there may be parts of what they do that you may not agree with, there are things that you can empathize with at the root of most of the characters’ words and actions. I would be happy if you could enjoy it while giving your opinions on that part.

–How did you feel when you received the offer to appear in this work, and what did you think after reading the script?
From the title, I felt that there was a lot of thought put into it. Since the story revolves around chaebols, I received elements similar to Korean dramas, which are not very familiar in Japan. Each character is strong and deep, so it’s funny and interesting at times, and I feel like they’re fighting on the brink of life or death within the framework of a zaibatsu. I thought that the viewers would be excited to see these kinds of people depicted.
–What are your impressions about the roles you play?
She is a woman who greedily strives to rise to achieve her goals, and from one’s point of view, she may be doing terrible things, but it’s cool to see her taking action that no one else can imitate. This is because of my past experiences and my earnest feelings, and I imagine that my happiness may come at the cost of some kind of sacrifice. As Erika, I want to intensely pursue happiness.
–What is your impression of Keisuke Watanabe, who will be co-starring with you for the first time?
Was he a very cool person until I met him? I had the impression that we were both from different regions, so we were able to talk a lot about our respective hometowns, and in between filming and reporting, I couldn’t believe it was the first time. He said that he has low tension, but the way he quietly comments on me is exquisite and fun, making me laugh out loud!
–Please give a message to the viewers about the highlights etc.
I think you can often sympathize with the interactions between husband and wife and the issues they each face. However, it’s a story about a world that doesn’t quite feel real, so I’d be happy if you could enjoy it purely as entertainment. Please look forward to this story where love and desire intersect!
