KB Kookmin Card announced on the 27th that it signed a ‘KB Kookmin Card-Union Pay International Business Cooperation MOU (Memorandum of Understanding)’ with Union Pay on the 26th to strengthen strategic partnership in the global market.

This agreement was prepared to further strengthen cooperation between the two companies in the global payment market beyond Korea and China and to expand global marketing campaigns.

Through this MOU, the two companies plan to ▲ strengthen global marketing campaigns ▲ provide customized payment solutions for Korean and Chinese consumers ▲ conduct joint promotions to expand tourism and economic exchanges.

In particular, major issues will include cooperation in the digital payment ecosystem as well as marketing cooperation to strengthen the global brand awareness of both companies.

According to this agreement, both companies plan to significantly strengthen joint marketing to revitalize tourism and shopping in line with China’s expansion of visa exemptions scheduled for the end of next year.

Through this, the company aims to provide more benefits to global consumers, including Korea and China, and focus on maximizing the brand value of both companies.

An official from KB Kookmin Card said, “This MOU goes beyond simple payment service cooperation and will be an opportunity for a new leap forward for both companies to demonstrate marketing leadership on the global stage.” He added, “Through joint cooperation to strengthen marketing campaigns and expand the global market, “We plan to contribute to revitalizing the economy and tourism of both countries and establish a leading position in the global digital payment market.”
