Kanagawa Prefectural Police Headquarters

The Kanagawa Prefectural Police announced its fall personnel changes, with 1,573 police officers (down 31 from last year) and 67 general staff (up 17 from last year), for a total of 1,640 people.

In order to promote the career development of female employees, seven female employees who have returned from childcare leave will be assigned to each department as surplus staff, increasing the number of positions, upon request.

In addition, in line with strengthening the investigative system for sexual crimes and other crimes, the number of female police officers with investigative experience assigned to relevant departments will be increased.

In order to strengthen the human resources base, personnel transfers between headquarters and police stations will be promoted. Promoted officers with experience in the “management” division, which specializes in criminal investigations, security, and community safety, will be assigned to the local affairs division to provide guidance and training to young police officers. The order was issued on the 5th.
