At around 5:30 pm on the 5th, the driver of a 6-car rapid train bound for Kumatori from Tennoji heard an abnormal noise while traveling near the JR Hanwa Line Shinotayama-Izumifu Nakama railroad crossing in Higashi Toyonaka-cho, Izumiotsu City, Osaka Prefecture, and stopped the train. He checked the track and the train, but found no abnormalities, and resumed operation about 30 minutes later.

Due to this problem, a total of four trains were suspended, and a total of 26 trains were delayed by up to 33 minutes, affecting approximately 11,800,000 people.
