On the 27th, the Japan Rugby Football Union announced the registered members of the Japanese national team for the Lipovitan D Challenge Cup match against the Maori All Blacks (29th at Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium), with fly-half Taku Yamazawa (Saitama) and 20-year-old fullback Yazaki (Waseda University) named in the starting lineup.
