On September 6th, ahead of the start of the season, players from the Iwate Big Bulls Basketball League visited Morioka City Hall in Iwate Prefecture and spoke to Mayor Shigeru Uchidate about their determination to win the B3 championship.
The five people who visited Morioka City Hall included Iwate Big Bulls captain Shohei Goto and new player Toshio Suga from Yokohama Excellence.
Last season, the Big Bulls competed in B2 for the first time in six seasons, but finished 13th in the league with 20 wins and 40 losses, failing to remain in B2.
On the 6th, Mayor Uchidate encouraged the team, saying, “Your achievements brighten the hearts of the citizens. I hope you will work hard with bright red passion.” Captain Goto responded with enthusiasm, saying, “We will win the B3 league and return to the B2 league in one year.”

“I believe that if we play every game as challengers and continue to play our own style of basketball, we will definitely be able to achieve our goal of promotion, so we want to stay consistent and fight like the Iwate Big Bulls.”
The Big Bulls’ opening game will be against the Kanazawa Samurai on September 28th.
The following week they will host Shinagawa City Basketball Club at Morioka Takaya Arena.
