Why do young people who don’t watch TV still want to work in the TV industry?
“The pay is still better than in the web video industry.”

It has been said for a long time that young people are turning away from television, but that doesn’t mean that there are no young people who want to work in the television industry. I am a teacher and lecturer at universities and other institutions, so I have daily opportunities to interact with students who want to work in the media, and when they are job hunting, they place great importance on the television industry, including television stations, as a place of employment.

So, do students watch TV programs? It depends on the person. It’s strange because many people who don’t watch much TV, or even none at all, are aspiring to work in the TV industry, but when you listen carefully, they have good reasons for wanting to work in TV.

What is it? Simply put, it is “money.” Students who don’t like television that much aim for the television industry because the working conditions there are good.

In reality, they would rather work for a web video production company or a YouTube agency than a TV production company. However, at present, many of these web video production companies are small and unstable.

I tried interning at a YouTube production company, but everyone seemed extremely busy, and I was a student who didn’t know what to do, but I was overworked. The salary also seemed to be quite low. I’ve been asked several times by students if it was okay for them to get a job at a place like that.
