New York – FBI study reports that the ‘Tren de Arguea’, the biggest terrorist organization in Venezuela, is gaining strength in the United States. This incident shows the seriousness of the phenomenon of ‘migrant crime’.
According to the United Nations Human Rights Committee, nearly 9 million people have fled the country due to the unstable political situation in Venezuela. A large number of them have immigrated to America. Concerns have also been raised that the Venezuelan government has emptied its prisons and allowed criminals to cross the border.
Members of the ‘Tren d’Arguea’ organization have been found guilty in the case of killing two policemen in New York. Several cases related to such organization have been registered in areas like Florida, Texas and Chicago. Their main activities are drug trade, torture and robbery.
The FBI has announced a $12 million reward for the capture of three key leaders of the organization. There have also been concerns that robberies and other crimes that are rampant in many cities in the United States may be linked to this organization.
In his 20 years of service, he has never seen such a crime wave, the head of the New York Police Department’s intelligence division says. Such crimes are fueled by the false perception that immigrants from Venezuela will have the opportunity to make quick money in the United States.
Due to the lack of diplomatic relations between the United States and Venezuela, it is not possible to gather more information about this organization in cooperation with the Venezuelan police. The growth of the ‘Tren d’Arguea’ was a major topic of discussion at a recent conference of Latin American police chiefs. Countries including Colombia and Chile are monitoring the organization.
