iPhone usage: You will definitely not make this mistake again

Referreport

Using an iPhone is actually child’s play, but we still make small mistakes every now and then. The prerequisite: we first have to recognize the “misuse” as such. A very good example is the camera app, which is much more convenient to use with a tap.

A look at the camera app on the iPhone reveals the problem: the controls for things like live photos, RAW recordings or flash control are all located at the top edge. If you want to reach them with just one hand, you have to twist and stretch out your thumb. Admit it: it’s really annoying.

Camera app on iPhone: Access controls much faster

What you may not know: If you tap the upper arrow symbol in the middle of the screen, a hidden menu appears at the bottom of the user interface. There, the elements for the recording mode, exposure, flash, timer, aspect ratio and more can be conveniently operated in one-handed mode. But it can be even easier. Simply Swipe from bottom to top in the preview image with one finger. The menu will then appear. You don’t even have to tap the arrow to access it – brilliant.

So, hopefully from now on you won’t make the mistake of twisting your fingers just to turn on the flash or activate or deactivate Live Photos. Now you know how to do it better and faster.
