On the 27th, as part of field-oriented management, Industrial Bank of Korea invited 22 representatives of small and medium-sized companies in Honam to the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry and held a small business field meeting.

Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses who attended the meeting expressed various opinions, including difficulties in corporate management due to financial cost burden and manpower shortage, and the need to support companies with excellent technology.

At the meeting that day, CEO Kim Seong-tae said, “It was a meaningful opportunity to directly hear a variety of opinions from the field, from companies that have led economic development through traditional manufacturing to start-ups that will lead the future.” He added, “Supporting small and medium-sized businesses to overcome the crisis is our top priority.” “We will set this as a task and actively expand financial and non-financial support, while also doing our best to provide support for the resurgence of the local economy and foster innovative and start-up companies,” he said.

Prior to the meeting, President Kim visited a branch in Gwangju to encourage employees who are doing their best to support small and medium-sized businesses and to listen to the difficulties faced by the field.

This year, Industrial Bank of Korea is preparing a ‘People’s Livelihood Financial Support Plan’ to ease the burden of financial costs on self-employed people and small business owners and a ‘Special Program to Reduce Financial Costs for Small and Medium Businesses’ for small and medium-sized businesses that are experiencing management difficulties due to the economic downturn and high interest rates. We are continuously working to support overcoming and taking a leap forward.
