London: Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh said that India and Pakistan are one, borders are made by politicians and Punjabis love everyone. The singer’s reaction came after he handed over a gift to a Pakistani fan in Manchester during his ‘Dil-Luminati Tour’ concert in the UK. Emphasizing the need to love everyone across borders, the singer’s video has sparked heated debate on social media.

Diljit’s reaction came when he revealed that the fan was from Pakistan while handing over the prize during the event. “For me, India and Pakistan are one. Borders are created by politicians. But, Punjabis love everyone. No matter which corner of the world people know Punjabi, they are all the same. Welcome to India and Pakistan. “He connects with people through music, not through nationalism,” said Diljit. Diljit’s words were received with thunderous applause by the audience.

After the foreign tour, Diljit’s music tour is also planned in various cities in India in October. The programs are held in Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune, Lucknow, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Indore, Chandigarh and Guwahati. Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan are playing the lead roles in ‘Border 2’ which also features Diljith.
