The Toyama-Dalian route, which had been suspended due to the effects of COVID-19, has finally resumed for the first time since February 2020.

Prefectural officials welcomed the passengers with a banner reading “Welcome,” and handed out bags containing Chinese language pamphlets, fans, and other items.

This is the second resumption of international flights from Toyama Airport, which had been suspended due to the effects of COVID-19, following flights to Shanghai in August last year, and there are hopes that inbound tourism will recover in the future.
The resumed flight on the 26th was carrying 104 passengers, or 60% of the capacity, and the Dalian flight will operate twice a week for a total of 36 flights until October 26th.
