There is only one regular AICE (AI Certificate for Everyone) exam remaining this year. AICE Future and Junior exams for elementary, middle, and high school students will also be held.
According to the AICE Secretariat on the 29th, the 4th regular exam will be held in 2024 on December 20th and 21st. AICE is a test developed and operated by the Korea Economic Daily and KT.
The regular exam is divided into three categories: Basic, Associate, and Professional. Basic is for non-majors who are interested in AI. Even if you don’t know coding, you can understand the basic concepts of AI and how to use it, so it is suitable for managers in charge of AI-related work and college students who want to start studying AI. A tool called AIDU EZ is used to analyze data and evaluate its ability to create an AI model through a preprocessing process.
The target audience for associates is data planning and analysis practitioners. You must have basic knowledge of Python, a coding language, and be able to use various libraries. Install a library to analyze tabular data in the Jupiter Lab environment and build an AI model using machine learning and deep learning through data preprocessing and visualization. It is evaluated as having high work usability because it analyzes cases and data used in practice.
Professional, aimed at AI experts, evaluates the ability to develop AI service models based on various types of data such as images and text as well as table format. It requires not only data analysis and processing capabilities to solve problems, but also AI modeling using optimal algorithms. Knowledge of using TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc. and ability to optimize models are also essential.
All three types of tests are case-based. The explanation is that office workers who want to use AI in their work have a high preference because they can learn how to analyze and predict data they encounter at work using AI.
AICE Future, targeting elementary and middle school students using block coding, and AICE Junior, targeting middle and high school students, will be tested on November 23. AICE Future consists of three levels, from the beginner level 3 to the most difficult level 1. Level 3 includes multiple-choice questions asking about AI concepts and ethics, as well as practice assignment questions that solve problem errors through block coding. Level 1 verifies the ability to predict text and video modeling through block coding. AICE Junior, which is aimed at middle and high school students and teachers, aims to analyze and model data based on automatic machine learning (ML) without coding.
Meanwhile, a review event will be held for those taking this regular exam. All you have to do is upload your test reviews and know-how to SNS, blogs, internet bulletin boards, etc. by the 13th of next month and send a link or screen capture. Various gifts are given through a lottery. To prevent infringement of intellectual property rights, information related to test questions must not be posted.
