Referreport

After the killing of the Hamas chief, the situation between Iran and Israel is constantly heating up. Israel has not yet taken responsibility for this attack, but the world has held Israel responsible for this incident. Iran’s supreme leader Khamenei has also ordered his army to attack Israel. Now the question is which countries and groups will join this war on the side of Israel and Iran.

Israel exploring the possibility of Abraham Alliance

The answer to this was given by the Israeli Prime Minister who arrived in America last month. Standing in the US Congress, Netanyahu said that he sees the possibility of a new Abraham Alliance in the Middle East. The Abraham Alliance suggested by Netanyahu is an extension of the Abraham Accord. The purpose of this treaty, brokered by America, was to improve relations between Israel and Arab countries. Many Arab countries had also accepted this treaty and on this basis America had also found an alternative to China’s BRI. Netanyahu wants to unite Israel’s current and future diplomatic allies against Iran and its proxy groups by taking the help of this treaty.

The US has claimed to increase its military presence in the Middle East to protect Israel, while more European countries are ready to come forward to help Israel. The US Army has deployed additional ballistic missiles, anti-missile systems and a new fighter squadron in the Middle East under the leadership of its aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln. Israel is constantly engaged in strengthening its relations with its partner countries to deal with this possible attack. This potential war between Iran and Israel has brought many military powers face to face.

Iran’s Axis of Resistance is also not far behind

Since the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Iran’s dream has been to become the leader of the Islamic world. Iran has promoted many proxy groups for this purpose. Through these proxy groups, Iran has increased its influence over the entire Middle East. These proxy groups are collectively known as the ‘Axis of Resistance’. This group includes Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Yemen’s Houthis, and many terrorist groups from Iraq, Syria, and Gaza. These groups serve Iran’s strategic interests, and Iran provides them funds in return. With their help, Iran increases its influence throughout the Middle East.

Hezbollah of Lebanon

This group was founded in the 1980s. It shares Shia Islamist ideology with Iran. It recruits mainly from Lebanon’s Shia population and fights Israeli forces in Lebanon. It has a large stockpile of weapons. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps provides it funds.

Hamas is Iran’s ally in Gaza

Iran has ties to terrorist groups such as Hamas and the Palestinian militant Jihad in the Palestinian territories. Iran continuously provides financial and military support to these groups.

Yemen’s Houthi rebels

Yemen’s Houthi rebels also have Iran’s support. This terrorist organization, formed in the 1990s, works to increase Iran’s influence in the region. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps provides them funds.

Apart from this, Iran has good relations with many other terrorist groups like Kata’ib Hezbollah, Asaib Ahl al-Haq and Badr Organization. These terrorist organizations often target American and European forces and maintain close relations with Tehran.
