Let them think that they have got a government job, and if they don’t protect their dependents, they will be guaranteed a job. The government has now made the new provisions applicable to those who have joined the government jobs earlier through dependent appointment. They should give a consent letter in this regard. At present, such appointees can enter the job only if they give a letter of consent to protect the dependents of the deceased employee. This provision is now being implemented with retrospective effect.

Must be preserved for life

Dependent appointees in government service have to protect the mother, father, widow and widower of the deceased employee throughout their life. Guardianship of minor siblings should be undertaken till they attain majority.

If the condition is violated

25 percent of the salary of the employees who violate the rule will be seized and paid to their dependents. The consent letter should be submitted before the respective office manager.
