IAF Wing Commander: Rape case filed against wing commander in Indian Air Force, complaint of female officer

IAF Wing Commander Rape Accused in Jammu Kashmir : A female flying officer of the Indian Air Force went to the Air Force Headquarters in Srinagar and lodged a complaint that she was raped and sexually harassed by the Wing Commander. The Air Force has ordered an investigation in this matter. In her complaint, the woman has said that the incident took place at an air force station in Jammu and Kashmir. On the other hand, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered a case against the wing commander of the air force station on the complaint of a female flying officer.

A case under Section 376 (2) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the Wing Commander of the Air Force at the Budgam Police Station. This clause is meant for persons in senior positions. The woman has alleged rape, sexual harassment, mental harassment and stalking against the wing commander. She said that this incident took place on 31 December 2023 in the Officers Mess. A New Year’s party was organized at the air force station. It was then that the wing commander raped her, she has said in the complaint. The woman said that the wing commander called her to his room and committed the crime.

Allegation of sexual and mental harassment against Wing Commander

While informing about the incident, the police said that the victim woman Air Force officer has made serious allegations against the senior officer of Srinagar Air Force station. We have registered a case based on her complaint. The female officer has accused the Wing Commander of sexual and mental harassment. Meanwhile, the police have started an investigation in this matter. The accused Wing Commander will be questioned in this matter.
