Moritaka Dai has been appointed head coach of the Shizuoka Vertex, a professional basketball team in the B2 league, and at a press conference on June 20th he spoke about his thoughts on the team’s promotion to the B1 league.

The new head coach of the team is Moritaka Dai, a graduate of the University of Tokyo who previously coached for B1 Alvark Tokyo for nine years.

At a press conference on the 20th, he expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I want to strengthen our defense by making use of our mobility, and also focus on creating a variety of attacking patterns.”

The new Vertex season is scheduled to begin in October 2024.
