The car that made it to the top is the Kia Forte equipped with Hyundai Transys seats.
The survey was conducted by counting the number of complaints per 100 vehicles among 99,144 people in the United States who owned a 2024 model-year vehicle for more than 90 days.
Hyundai Transys has been the only domestic company to be included in the ‘Top 3’ in J.D. Power’s seat quality satisfaction survey for five consecutive years since 2020.
In 2020, it ranked 2nd (Hyundai Accent) and 3rd (Kia Forte) in the mid-size car seat category in the general brand category, and in 2021, it ranked 3rd in the premium brand category with the Genesis G90 seat.
In 2022, it ranked 2nd in the general brand segment for compact car seats (Kia Forte), 2nd in the compact SUV seats (Kia Soul), and 3rd in the midsize SUV seats (Kia Sorento). Last year, it also ranked 2nd for the compact car (Kia Rio) and midsize SUV (Kia Sorento) seats.
Hyundai Transys currently operates 33 overseas business sites in 11 countries, including Georgia, Illinois, and Alabama in the U.S. and Monterrey, Mexico.
In the fourth quarter of this year, when the dedicated electric vehicle plant ‘Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA)’ in Savannah, Georgia, USA is completed, Hyundai Transys Savannah’s corporate production facility will produce seats for electric vehicles to support Hyundai Motor Group’s electrification efforts.
Seo Seung-woo, head of the seat division at Hyundai Transys (executive director), said, “For the past 20 years, Hyundai Transys has been at the forefront of seat development that applies cutting-edge technology and differentiated design with the safety and comfort of passengers as the top priority,” adding, “We will continue to establish ourselves as a top-quality seat manufacturer that satisfies customers not only in Korea but also globally, including in North America.”
