Taiwan Mobile stated that the main area affected by the base station is Hualien, and some areas in New Taipei are also affected, and are currently undergoing comprehensive repairs. This morning, more than 500 manpower was immediately deployed to conduct equipment inspections and provide mobile communication services and assistance. Major computer rooms in Taiwan are operating normally, a few base stations were affected by power outages, and sporadic base stations were damaged by earthquakes.

In response to the power failure, Taiwan will urgently transport relevant generators and continue to monitor the communication situation in the area. If communication congestion occurs, additional mobile vehicles will be dispatched to support local communications.

Far EasTone pointed out that 14 base stations in Hualien were affected this time. After the strong earthquake occurred this morning, the company immediately launched emergency response operations and deployed hundreds of engineers to conduct inventory of base stations, computer rooms and equipment in various locations; prepare mobile communications The vehicle can move to the disaster area to support communications; it can also conduct background network traffic observation, troubleshooting and other operations to ensure that communications are unimpeded.

In addition, all Far EasTone base stations in Taiwan have backup power supplies, and the main computer rooms are operating normally.
