The total amount of hometown tax donations in fiscal 2022 will be 965.4 billion yen, the highest amount ever for the third consecutive year. By prefecture, Hokkaido received the most donations with 145.29 billion yen, followed by Fukuoka Prefecture, Miyazaki Prefecture, and others.

On the other hand, Toyama Prefecture’s total donations reached a record high of 2.874 billion yen, but it still ranked last out of 47 prefectures.
