An independent US government agency has accused automaker Honda of possibly violating workers’ rights by obstructing efforts to organize a union at a plant in Indiana.

The complaint, filed by the National Labor Relations Board, an independent US government agency, alleges that Honda violated workers’ rights at a plant in Indiana by forcing employees to remove UAW stickers from their helmets and threatening to discipline union supporters.

If Honda does not agree to a settlement, the case will be heard by an administrative law judge of the National Labor Relations Board in October 2024.

In response, Honda said it would “cooperate with the hearings,” but countered that “the allegations of wrongdoing are without merit.”
