Hokuriku Electric Power’s electricity rates for households will be reduced by 18 yen to 7,740 yen for August usage.

Hokuriku Electric Power’s standard household electricity rate for August (Time-of-Use B 30A, 230kWh/month) will be 7,740 yen, a decrease of 18 yen from July.

This is thought to be due to the average fuel price dropping by 500 yen per kiloliter from July.

Fluctuations in these figures are directly reflected in electricity bills.

The government subsidies that had previously kept electricity prices down were abolished in June, and according to Hokuriku Electric Power Company, electricity prices in August were the second highest on record, following the previous month’s record high, and continue to remain at high levels.
