Masago Asayama, who will become head coach of the Hiroshima Dragonflies basketball team next season, held a press conference.

Head coach Arata Asayama appeared at the press conference on the morning of the 19th.

“I have made this decision so that I can take on new challenges and contribute to the future development of basketball in Japan.”

Asayama is 43 years old and from Kanagawa Prefecture. Since joining the team in 2015, he has led the Hiroshima Dragonflies and made a major contribution to the team’s victory this season as its spiritual pillar.
He retired after the season ended.
Next season, the team will be aiming for consecutive B1 championships with a new system led by legendary player Asayama.
