“Help me, they’re forcing me to go for a walk” – Self-proclaimed writer, 41-year-old man arrested for allegedly taking three 6th grade girls for a walk

On the 31st, the Hokkaido Prefectural Police Toyohira Station arrested a self-proclaimed e-book writer, Yuki Niwa (41), of Tsukisamu Higashi 2-jo, Toyohira-ku, Sapporo, on suspicion of kidnapping a minor, for allegedly forcibly taking away three sixth-grade girls. According to the Hokkaido Prefectural Police and others, he denies the charges, saying, “There is nothing that is true.” The girls were not injured.

The arrest warrant alleges that on the 30th at around 5:30 pm, the suspect hinted at harming girls who were at a park in Toyohira Ward, and then walked around the area for around 50 minutes.

The victim’s family contacted police after receiving a message from her saying, “Help me, they’re forcing themselves to go for a walk.” Police officers found the four of them together on a road about one kilometer away from the park and detained the suspect.
