He Chuanxin joined the National Palace Museum in 1983 and served successively as a researcher, director of the Painting and Calligraphy Department, and as executive vice president from 2012 to 2016. Upon the news of his death, the Palace Museum said today: “My colleagues are deeply saddened and reluctant to leave.” “Mr. He was diligent and sincere.” His work attitude and modest and elegant conduct will forever remain in the hearts of his colleagues and become a model for the Forbidden City.”

He Chuanxin is good at exploring the unique connotations of the Forbidden City collections and showing this generation’s new perspective on culture and cultural relics.
