Hamas senior official Hamdan said the response called for a “permanent ceasefire and a complete withdrawal of the Israeli military from Gaza,” which has been rejected by Israel. U.S. Secretary of State Blinken, who is visiting Qatar, said on the 12th that Hamas has requested some changes to the UN-backed ceasefire plan, “some of which are feasible, but some are not.”

Hamdan called Blinken “part of the problem, not the solution” in the Gaza conflict.

Blinken accused Hamas of being the only factor standing in the way of a ceasefire in Gaza, and claimed that Israel had accepted the plan.

In fact, senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Netanyahu, have repeatedly stated that Israel will not stop the war until Hamas is defeated.

The Gaza government media office released data on the damage caused by Israel’s 250-day offensive on Gaza on the 12th. 37,202 people died in Gaza, including 15,694 children, and another 10,000 were missing.
