At around 6:30 am on the 4th, a fire broke out at a house in Tap-dong, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, injuring two people. Provided by Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters

On the morning of the 4th, a fire broke out on the 3rd floor of a house in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. A grandson in his 30s jumped out the window carrying his 90-year-old grandmother and escaped, but the grandmother, who was receiving treatment, eventually died.

According to the combined explanations of Suwon West Police Station and the fire department, a fire broke out on the top floor of a three-story building in Tap-dong, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do at around 6:30 AM on that day. It was determined that only one household was living on the third floor of the building.

It is reported that at the time of the fire, Mr. K (30s) jumped onto the second-floor panel roof attached to the building while carrying his grandmother (90s) who had difficulty moving when he was unable to escape through the door. They were taken to the hospital by firefighters who arrived at the scene, but the grandmother eventually died. Mr. N suffered second-degree burns on his upper body and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

Police and fire officials are investigating the exact cause of the fire through an on-site investigation.
