Google Photos: Create a weekly review with “My Week”.

Referreport

In the “Google Photos” application you can not only view and manage your photos, but also use various features to collect memories in albums and videos. For example, “My Week” gives you an option to create a weekly review and share it with friends.

The “My Week” function helps you relive beautiful moments from the past week. You don’t have to do a lot of work; Google Photos can compile the review more or less automatically.

Weekly review in Google Photos: This is how it works

The “My Week” function is not yet available in the Photos app, but has already been discovered in a preliminary version (source: Android Police). This expands the review function in Google Photos and makes it possible to quickly create highlight albums with photos from the past week. Users of the photos app can easily create a story with younger photos.

The result can be viewed directly in Google Photos or shared with contacts so that friends can also take a look at the most recent experiences in the photo diary. You can also invite friends to the “My Week” function, who will then receive regular notifications when a new weekly review with current recordings is available.

Google Photos: Create flashbacks

So far, “My Week” has only been found in the source code of the Photos app. It is not yet clear when Google will roll out the feature. You can already create general reviews in the Google Photos app like this:

  1. Opens the Photos app.
  2. Tap on the button “at the bottom”Memories“.
  3. The app already suggests its own Albums with memories on a specific topic, such as a trip.
  4. At the top you press that “+” symbol.
  5. You can then select the format and create, for example, a collage with several images, an album or a highlight video.
  6. Enter a title and choose the photos that should be included in the story.
