According to Oddity Central (UK), liquid crystal lenses have been around since 2017, but only recently has the company Deep Optics used this revolutionary invention to create incredibly useful glasses.

The glasses’ adaptability allows the wearer to adjust the glasses to suit their intended use with just a swipe. If the wearer wants the device to function as a pair of fashion sunglasses, they just need to swipe back the right temple. If they want to put the glasses into reading mode, they just swipe back.

The lenses can be adjusted from 0 to 2.5 diopters. The glasses also have a built-in battery that provides up to 48 hours of power.

“Deep Optics’ proprietary technology dynamically corrects for vision impairment using liquid lenses. The lenses work like the human eye, allowing the wearer to see what they want, depending on their purpose. Deep Optics adds virtually no weight to the design, making the glasses look more natural,” the Deep Optics website explains.

At $849, the 32 Degrees North glasses don’t come cheap, but they’re a useful device that saves users from having to carry two pairs of glasses around.

With 32 Degrees North sunglasses, users can look out at the horizon, then easily check their messages. Admire the view, swipe, and then continue reading.

“Mimicking the way the human eye works, 32 Degrees North glasses help wearers see everything they want,” Deep Optics claims.

Historically, the eyewear industry hasn’t been the most innovative, but adaptive glasses are a giant leap forward.
