Samsung is making its mid-range smartphones better and better every year, but it is also constantly increasing the price. With the Galaxy A54, Samsung has found a compromise between quality and value for money that not everyone is happy with. With the Galaxy A55, Samsung wants to significantly increase the premium standard. Press photos confirm this.
Samsung Galaxy A55 becomes higher quality
In just a few weeks, Samsung will be introducing the Galaxy A55, the successor to the Galaxy A54 (test). The new mid-range smartphone will look significantly different compared to the current generation. When the generation changed from the A53 to the A54, the back was made of glass instead of plastic. The frame remained untouched. With the new generation, Samsung is taking the next step and is also making the Galaxy A55 to the metal phone with glass backOfficial press photos prove this:

Instead of plastic, the frame of the Galaxy A55 is made of metal, taking the phone to a new level. Samsung is moving closer to Apple’s iPhones with its angular designOnly the buttons on the side are rounded and highlighted, so Samsung ultimately creates its own design.
The design of the cameras on the back and the wide frame around the display remain unchanged in the new generation. The latter would definitely be worth an upgrade if you look at the competition in the form of Xiaomi. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ uses a dual-edge display. In terms of price, the devices are likely to be in a similar league.
In the video you can see the Galaxy A54 for comparison:
Samsung Galaxy A54 has dropped sharply in price
With a price of 489 euros, the Galaxy A54 was priced a little too high at launch. The price has since dropped dramatically. Currently, you only pay 319 euros (check it out at Freenet). The A54 is a really good phone for that. The Galaxy A55 could be just as expensive again. But just like the current generation the price should move down quickly.
