With their fifth win in a row, the gymnasts from TG Wangen/Eisenharz remain unbeaten and move up to second place in the 3rd Bundesliga table. The competition on Saturday against Grötzingen-Karlsruhe in the Ebnethalle in Wangen was won with 43:23 score points.
Pommel horse puts TG Wangen-Eisenharz in the lead
Despite the clear final result, the two teams started the competition fairly evenly. On the ground, the Karlsruhe team showed more consistency than the home team and led the competition after the first device. On the second apparatus, the pommel horse, the people of Wangen secured 9:4 apparatus points, thanks, among other things, to a top performance from Pascal Schober. This meant that the lead could be taken after the pommel horse. The Allgäu residents were then able to win all other devices up to the royal device. However, the high bar had to be handed over to the opponent. The jump was particularly exciting, as the guests were ahead until the last duel. Julian von Kirn didn’t miss a beat in the last duel and scored four score points with a sparkling clean Kasamatsu.
In November it’s against the top teams
While TG Wangen/Eisenharz did gymnastics in the Ebnethalle, the other two top teams, TSV Unterföhring and TG Allgäu, competed against each other in Wiggensbach. Instead of the expected exciting duel, TG Allgäu dominated right from the start. The competition ended with a score of 50:26. TG Wangen/Eisenharz still has to compete against both teams this season. Against Unterföhring on November 9th in Munich and against TG Allgäu on November 16th in Wangen. Both opponents have several guest gymnasts and perform more difficult exercises than TG Wangen/Eisenharz, but they are not unbeatable. In the coming weeks, gymnastics fans can look forward to an exciting battle for the top of the table, as the club reports.
