[Kyodo News, Washington]The Federal Reserve Board (FRB), the central bank of the United States, decided at the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting on July 31 to keep the key policy interest rate at 5.25% to 5.5%. This marks the eighth consecutive meeting in which interest rates have been maintained.
