An “Organizing Committee” was launched on June 26th to centralize negotiations between the Expo Association and the overseas countries participating in next year’s Osaka-Kansai Expo.
The Expo International Participants Conference was held on the 25th and 26th. The representatives from each country who attended expressed many concerns, including worries about whether construction work would proceed smoothly and the fact that a contractor has not been decided for the interior and exhibition work, which will begin in earnest from autumn onwards.
In this context, on the 26th, an “Executive Committee” was launched to consolidate the issues each country faces and centralize negotiations with the association.
(Manuel Sarfuri, President of the Swiss Federal Expo Administration) “Our task is to work with the organizers to resolve the urgent issues and ensure the success of the Expo.”
Going forward, meetings will be held every three months, with monthly meetings during the opening period to discuss issues facing each country.
