May 3, 2019 (AFP) – A freight train derailed on Saturday in the Bryansk region of western Russia, which borders Ukraine, due to an “explosive device” on the tracks. This was announced by the state’s governor, Alexander Bogomaz. A similar incident had occurred in the state the previous day.
On this day, there was an explosion near a train station about 2 kilometers from the regional capital Bryansk. According to Governor Bogomaz, a locomotive and several freight cars were derailed. There were no injuries.
The day before, another explosion derailed a train near the border town of Unecha, causing it to burst into flames.
As Ukraine prepares for a counteroffensive against Russia’s invasion, similar sabotage operations are occurring one after another within Russia. (c)AFP
