Diallos is one of the NPCs in Elden Ring that you meet relatively early in the Round Table Fortress. You are supposed to find Lanya for him, but this is only the first part of his quest series. You can read how to complete the Diallos quest in our walkthrough with video.

Start Diallos quest & find Lanya

Diallos stands to the right of the staircase to the balcony in the Round Table Fortress and is in search of his servant Lanya. Unfortunately, he doesn’t give you any hints as to where to start your search, which makes starting this quest particularly difficult.

To find Lanya, you must go to the gate city in front of the academy in Liurnia. Lanya is located exactly at the top right of the “Gate City of the Academy” icon on the map. Unfortunately, you will only find Lanya’s corpse here and Diallo’s, who is standing right next to it.

Diallos back in the Round Table Fortress

Then return to Round Table Keep. Diallos is back in his original place and swears vengeance for Lanya’s death. To do this, he wants to visit the recusants who are staying in House Vulkan in Gelmir. He also describes the route there, which we have marked on the map below.

To do this, you first have to go to the Altus Plateau, which you can reach with the medallion of Dectus, for example. The easiest way to get to House Vulkan, however, is to follow Rya’s quest, as she can simply teleport you there during the course of the quest.

Diallos in House Vulkan

After arriving in House Vulkan, first talk to Tanith and join House Vulkan to get the Key to the drawing room With this you can unlock the drawing room in the corridor to the right of Tanith. In there you will meet Rya and Bernahl again and Diallos, who is standing in the corner to the right of the fireplace.

Complete all dialogues with Diallos and then follow Tanith’s quest and complete her orders. After each order, you can speak to Diallos again and hear more dialogues where he grapples with his decision to join House Vulcan. After the second mission or at the latest after completing the dungeon of House Vulkan, Diallos will leave this place again.

Diallos in the Vascular Castle

Diallos appears next in the Vascular Castle directly southeast of the Carian Lecture Hall in Liurnia. This location is on a lower level. Use the gravestones in the western rock wall to slowly jump down with your horse.

You must first complete the Vessel Child quest up to a certain point, then Diallos will appear in one of the huts in the Vessel Castle. He kneels over one of the warrior vessels and interacts with it.

If Diallos doesn’t appear for you, make sure you have exhausted all dialogues with the Vessel Child. It sits directly northwest of the Place of Mercy on the stairs in front of the hut. Rest at the Place of Mercy every now and then and let time pass until Diallos appears in the hut. Then exhaust all dialogues with him.

Quest completion and rewards

Now let some time pass again and exhaust all dialogues with the vessel child. The Vessel Castle is finally attacked and Diallos lies dying on the path that leads through the village. Speak to him here one last time, choosing one of two dialogue options (“You defended them.” or “I’m afraid not.”). Which answer you choose here does not matter for completing the quest.

Afterwards, rest at the Place of Mercy and return to Diallos’ corpse, which the Vessel Child is now attacking. After a conversation, rest one last time at the Place of Mercy so that your Quest rewards at the corpse location appear. You will receive a Numen RuneHoslow’s Flower Whip and Diallos’ MaskYou will also receive the mask and whip if you decide to kill Diallos before completing the quest.

You will also receive a second Petal Whip if you kill Juno Hoslow during Tanith’s quest.
