If it was deemed to have no cultural value, it might be forced to turn off the lights. The city government held a cultural resources review meeting on August 27. Today, (5) Announcement of the review results on the 5th, 4 listed buildings have decided to enter the review process of registered historical buildings. The other 4 buildings in the park have not been listed. After confirmation that the park has submitted new evidence, the Cultural Affairs Bureau will also start the process. review.

According to the Cultural Affairs Bureau, the Xinpingxi Coal Mine was opened in 1965. It was closed in 1997 because the mining was not economical. In May this year, the public reported that 8 buildings were registered as historical buildings, including the “pit entrance” and “part of the horizontal tunnel ( 50 meters from the pit mouth), “coal storage trough”, and “coal unloading cabinet” were listed and tracked, and the Cultural Resources Review Committee decided to enter the review process for registered historical buildings.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that for the remaining four unlisted buildings such as the inspection room, dump platform, coal unloading bucket, and special side track, the park will submit new certificates, and the Cultural Affairs Bureau will start the process of registering them as historical buildings and cultural assets after their review. For deliberation, the city government will invite the Cultural Resources Review Committee to conduct a task force meeting, convene a task force meeting and then submit it to the Cultural Resources Review Committee.
